Professional freight flow and balanced scheduling give Jackson-area CDL-A truck drivers a regional opportunity that combines productive road time with a defined home-time routine. Drivers spend 12 days running multi-state freight before returning home for a full 48-hour reset. Average hauls of 700–750 miles and primarily drop-and-hook freight help keep the workday focused on driving rather than frequent loading delays.

Drivers leave the Jackson area and run regional dry van freight across multiple states during each work cycle. Trips average approximately 700–750 miles, providing a balance between longer mileage opportunities and regional operations.

The majority of freight is drop-and-hook, allowing drivers to exchange trailers and continue to the next assignment without waiting through every loading or unloading process. Some live unloads are part of the operation depending on the customer. All freight remains no-touch for the driver.

After 12 days on the road, drivers return home for a full 48-hour reset every other weekend.

Drivers typically average between $1,350 and $1,500 per week. Actual earnings depend on mileage, freight activity, and experience. Qualifying detention delays include additional compensation.

Eligible drivers can access medical, dental, and vision insurance after 6 months. The benefits package also includes paid time off and a 401(k) retirement plan after eligibility requirements are met.

This position operates 2021 or newer Freightliner and Kenworth tractors. Automatic transmissions are standard across the fleet.

Trucks include practical features for drivers spending multiple days away from home, including APUs, inverters, refrigerator space, and mounts for a microwave and TV. Preventive maintenance is completed on a regular schedule to support equipment reliability.

Drivers with a safe location for tractor parking may take their assigned truck home during the 48-hour reset. Approved parking options can be used when home parking is not available.

Rider and pet programs are available after approval. Dispatch provides assistance with load coordination and routing, and maintenance support is available for equipment concerns that develop on the road.

Valid Class A CDL

At least 3 months of recent tractor-trailer driving experience

Acceptable driving and safety record

Must meet DOT and company qualification requirements
