Position Requirements

The Financial Analyst will track financial performance, build detailed financial models, and deliver actionable insights to management. You will evaluate current and past data, prepare comprehensive reports, and help guide key business investments and operational budgeting.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

· Financial Modeling: Must have knowledge of real estate project financing, financial modeling including creating and maintaining proforma, and producing accurate proforma statements. Build and maintain robust financial models to analyze past and future project earnings, assess potential investments, and test business scenarios. Strong foundation in financial statements, variance tracking, and cost accounting concepts.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts that align with company goals.
  • Variance Analysis: Compare actual operational results against plans and forecasts to identify financial trends, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Data Analysis: Gather, clean, and analyze daily, monthly, and quarterly financial data to evaluate company performance.
  • Reporting: Prepare clear, sophisticated reports and dashboard summaries for senior leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with various departments to review operational costs, budget forecasting, explain financial techniques, and support strategic initiatives.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Experience: 2–5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, accounting, or a related field. Must have knowledge of real estate project financing, financial modeling including creating and maintaining complex proforma, and producing accurate proforma statements.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, sumifs, and dynamic modeling), Sage Accounting Software Proficient, PowerPoint, Revu/Blue Beam or other creative software.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Other: Must exercise initiative and achieve objectives with minimal supervision, be detail-oriented and a problem-solver able to deal with complex situations.
