Immigration Attorney - Detroit, MI
Direct Counsel is partnering with an AmLaw 200 firm seeking an Immigration Attorney with 6+ years of experience for its Immigration business unit in the Pittsburgh, PA. office.
The ideal candidate will have extensive employment-based immigration experience, including H-1B, PERM, I-140, AOS, E, O-1, L-1, and TN matters, and a willingness to work on a variety of business immigration cases.Candidates must have an active bar membership in good standing (any U.S. jurisdiction). This is a full-time position with the ability to work remotely two days per week.
The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and skills:
- Substantial experience helping to manage client work including liaising with client contacts and responsibility for managing the clients’ immigration matters internally
- Possess strong advocacy, research, and writing skills
- Ahigh-level attention to detail
- Strong academic credentials
- The ability to take initiative, stay organized, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supervising junior associates, paralegals, and other support staff
Day to Day responsibilities will include:
- Serve as the primary legal and strategic point of contact for assigned corporate clients
- Advise clients on business immigration strategy, workforce planning, and compliance considerations
- Oversee and review matters prepared by associates and paralegals
- Lead regular client status calls, planning discussions, and escalations
- Manage and mentor associates, paralegals, and support staff assigned to client teams
- Coordinate closely with firm Members on client strategy, service delivery, and resource allocation
- Identify process improvements and efficiencies within client immigration programs
- Support business development efforts and contribute to long-term client relationships
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range: $140,000 – $155,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
Bonus: Annual discretionary performance bonus
