The Role

Design real structures early. You will work under senior professional engineers on custom residential and commercial projects, taking on meaningful design responsibility. RDA will support your path to the PE.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural calculations and design for residential and commercial projects under senior engineer supervision, across wood, masonry, steel, and concrete
• Prepare and coordinate construction documents with in-house designers and drafters
• Assist with design of pile-supported structures and coastal construction per ASCE 24, FEMA, and FBC
• Support site inspections and construction observation
• Respond to plan review comments and coordinate with architects and delegated engineers
• Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Engineer Intern (EI/EIT) certification
• 2+ years of structural design experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD

Preferred Qualifications

• Enercalc or Revit experience
• Coastal or high-end residential project experience
• Progress toward Florida PE licensure

Compensation and Benefits

• Compensation: $70,000 to $85,000 depending on experience and licensure
