Senior Web Developer
Position Overview We are seeking a
Web Analytics & Implementation Developer to support our web analytics team and a diverse group of website owners across the organization. This role will focus on implementing and maintaining custom web tracking solutions, automating website tagging, and providing technical support for web analytics implementations across multiple websites.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with
PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, AWS-hosted applications, and web analytics technologies, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the web analytics team and internal website owners to implement custom tracking code across multiple websites and applications.
- Develop and maintain automated website tagging solutions using Matomo and custom PHP and JavaScriptprocesses.
- Implement, configure, and troubleshoot Matomo web analytics tracking across a variety of websites.
- Develop and support communication between websites and AWS-hosted web servers and applications using PHP, JavaScript, APIs, and related web technologies.
- Serve as a front-line technical resource for website owners, responding to site-specific questions and providing support for Matomo implementation and tracking issues.
- Identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve website, analytics, tagging, and integration issues.
- Create and manage workflows, forms, modules, and other solutions that automate business processes and support the distribution of analytics and business intelligence.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, analysts, website owners, and other stakeholders to develop and implement technical solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Support the ongoing maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of web analytics and automation solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Clearance & Citizenship: Active TS/SCI security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
- 6+ years of experience
- Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Hands-on experience developing or supporting AWS-hosted websites and applications.
- Experience with web analytics implementation, tagging, or tracking technologies.
- Understanding of browser-to-server and website-to-AWS communication using PHP, JavaScript, APIs, or web services.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, including issue identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
- Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation.
