Schedule: Rotating 12-hour, 2-2-3 schedule
Day Shift: 6:45 AM–7:00 PM
Night Shift: 6:45 PM–7:00 AM
Job responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, adjust, start and shut down recycling equipment.
- Operate pulverizers, extrusion, melt-blending and pelletizing equipment.
- Process, batch and stage plastic materials according to specifications.
- Monitor product quality and make necessary equipment adjustments.
- Troubleshoot equipment and production issues.
- Operate forklifts, skid steers and other material-handling equipment.
- Complete production, quality and equipment documentation.
- Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with training less-experienced operators.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous manufacturing, machine-operation or production experience.
- At least one year of extrusion experience; plastics experience is preferred.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Forklift or skid-steer experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout a 12-hour shift.
- Comfortable working around industrial machinery and varying temperatures.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
