General Laborer

This role supports concrete construction projects, including building forms, walls, and flatwork on local job sites. You work outdoors with a crew, helping with tasks such as shoveling dirt, hauling rebar and panels, and assisting in form setting and concrete finishing. Work is local, and you return home every night.

• Build and assemble forms for concrete walls and flatwork, ensuring accurate measurements and proper placement.
• Assist with all tasks involved in constructing concrete walls and flatwork, including preparation, pouring, and finishing.
• Shovel dirt and prepare job sites for foundations, walls, and other concrete structures.
• Haul and position rebar, panels, and other materials needed for foundations, walls, and flatwork.
• Support form setting activities, including layout, alignment, and securing forms for concrete pours.
• Perform general labor duties on construction sites, including site cleanup and material handling.
• Work productively as part of a crew of 5–7 team members to meet project timelines and quality standards.
• Use and maintain basic hand tools and personal equipment, including tool belt, tape measure, hammer, and rubber boots.
• Follow all safety procedures on site, including proper use of hard hat, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including wind and rain, while maintaining safe and efficient work practices.
• Adhere to the established schedule, starting work around 6:30–6:45 AM and working until approximately 5:00 PM, with occasional Saturday mornings as needed.

• At least 6 months of experience in construction.
• Ability to perform general labor tasks such as shoveling, lifting, hauling, and moving materials on a construction site.
• Basic knowledge of concrete construction, including forms, concrete walls, foundations, and flatwork.
• Experience or comfort working with rebar, panels, and other structural materials.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
• Capability to work up to 70 hours per week when required on location.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic on the job site.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a crew and follow directions from site leadership.

• Experience in concrete, construction, or carpentry is preferred and may influence starting pay.
• Skills in form setting, finish concrete, and production work are beneficial.
• Familiarity with concrete walls, foundations, and flatwork is an advantage.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, work-driven environment.
• Ability to meet at the shop or directly at the job site, depending on personal preference.
• No formal certifications are required for this role.

Work takes place on local construction sites, so you will regularly work outdoors in the wind, rain, and other weather conditions. You are part of a crew of approximately 5–7 people in a highly work-driven, production-focused culture, where weekly hours can reach up to 70 when on location. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, meeting at the shop around 6:45 AM and working until about 5:00 PM, with occasional Saturday mornings. You can choose to meet at the shop or go directly to the job site. The dress code includes steel-toe boots, work pants, work shirt, hard hat, safety glasses, and rubber boots, and you are expected to bring your own basic tools such as a tool belt, tape measure, and hammer.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, ND.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
