Logistics Dispatch Assistant / Freight Coordinator

D&G Transportation (Germantown, WI) is celebrating our 40th anniversary as a family-owned, national LTL carrier. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our dispatch team as a full-time Logistics Dispatch Assistant / Freight Coordinator. This person will be cross-trained on various duties and is integral to the company’s success. Transportation/supply chain experience is required.
This is a non-exempt and onsite position with a $26+ hourly wage (negotiable according to experience) with reviews at 3 and 6 months. A strong performer will be poised for career growth.
Sample Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load planning and optimization
• Assist in resolving driver issues (e.g., detentions, breakdowns, weather delays)
• Ensure all loads comply with DOT Regulations and safety standards
• Navigate website portals to schedule pick-up & delivery appointments
• Prepare and generate dispatch documentation (e.g., shipping manifests, bills of lading, proof of delivery)

Required skills:

• 3-5 Years of experience in logistics and supply chain.
• Experience with Transportation Management System (TMS)
• Collaborative with strong listening and excellent communication skills
• Unwavering attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in fast paced environment
• Geographic awareness of United States
