We are a Department of Defense Federal Contractor
- Must be US Citizen
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have clean criminal record (No felonies)
- Must be able to pass a drug test
What you’ll accomplish
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to identify materials, finishes, tolerances, and dimensional requirements.
- Calculate angles, radii, and other derived dimensions using formulas and shop math.
- Measure length, height, distances, and angles using precision tools: CMMs, micrometers, V-blocks, sine bars, calipers, dial indicators, angle plates, snap gauges, gauge blocks, height gage, level protractors, optical comparators, bore gages, ultrasonic equipment, and a profilometer.
- Perform first-run and first-article inspections on fabrications and assemblies.
- Lay out reference points and centerlines on surface plates for castings, forgings, and finished parts.
- Document inspection and test results in clear, actionable reports.
- Analyze nonconformances, identify probable causes, and recommend corrective actions.
What you bring
- High school diploma or GED.
- Approximately two years of quality inspection experience preferred.
- Training in Statistical Process Control (SPC) data collection and evaluation preferred.
- Manufacturing experience using a broad range of measurement gauges; aerospace or defense contract exposure preferred.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and sound judgment in determining effective courses of action.
- Vision requirements: Jaeger 1 at 12” (with corrective lenses) and the Ishihara Color Blindness Test. Exams are required annually.
