Job Title: NC Programmer

Job Description

This role focuses on creating precise 3D geometries and developing NC tool paths for complex aerospace components using Catia and CNC 3- and 5-axis machining. You will play a key part in translating engineering designs into efficient, high-quality manufacturing programs within an advanced aerospace production environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build accurate 3D geometries to support NC tool path generation for aerospace parts.
• Program CNC 3-axis and 5-axis machines using Catia to produce complex components to specification.
• Develop, optimize, and validate CNC programs to ensure efficient machining, quality, and repeatability.
• Interpret engineering drawings and models to create appropriate tool paths and machining strategies.
• Apply critical thinking and sound decision-making throughout the programming and manufacturing process.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
• Prepare and deliver clear written documentation and presentations related to NC programs and machining processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in CNC programming, tooling, and manufacturing methods.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Catia for 3D design and NC tool path creation.
• Hands-on experience programming CNC machines, including 3-axis and 5-axis CNC.
• Strong understanding of aerospace part manufacturing and machining requirements.
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to make sound decisions throughout the programming process.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization.
• Relevant experience and education in CNC programming, manufacturing, or a related technical field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with advanced machining strategies for complex geometries and tight tolerances.
• Ability to contribute to cross-functional projects and process improvement efforts.

The role is based in an aerospace manufacturing setting that is clean and climate controlled. You will work with advanced CNC 3-axis and 5-axis equipment and Catia software in a production environment focused on precision, quality, and safety.

This is a Permanent position based out of Gardena, CA.

The pay range for this position is $73000.00 - $92000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
