A growing construction-related organization is seeking a Construction Accounting Specialist to join its accounting team. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and partnering with Project Managers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to keep projects moving forward. The ideal candidate will have experience with Accounts Payable, AIA Billing, and Sage 100 Contractor, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Process high-volume accounts payable transactions accurately and timely
- Prepare and support AIA billings
- Maintain vendor records and ensure proper documentation is on file
- Review invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documentation
- Coordinate with Project Managers to obtain information needed for billing and accounting deadlines
- Track and maintain construction-related documentation, including lien waivers and project records
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Support month-end and year-end accounting activities
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, customers, and subcontractors
- Assist with additional accounting and administrative projects as needed

Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounting, accounts payable, construction accounting, or project accounting experience
- Experience with AIA Billing preferred
- Experience using Sage 100 Contractor strongly preferred
- Knowledge of construction accounting processes a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
