The NET (Non-Emergency Transport) Driver role is best suited for an individual that is compassionate and experienced in personalized customer service. The ideal candidate has a desire to perform his/her job functions at the highest quality level. The position requires transporting ambulatory, wheelchair, and stretcher clients safely, on time, and with full attention to comfort and security. Candidates must possess strong multitasking skills, be openly trainable, be empathetic and customer-service oriented, and be comfortable using a cell phone for GPS and dispatching.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a First Aid, CPR, and BLS certification. The employee will be trained in the proper methods of safe non-emergency transporting, proper use of equipment needed for transporting, proper handling of special transport situations, HIPAA Compliance requirements and protocol. Prior to transporting clients, employees will participate in a very detailed and structured orientation, as well as hands-on training.
