Lock Desk Analyst & Optimal Blue Administrator

About the Role:

We are hiring a Lock Desk Analyst who already knows secondary. You will own day-to-day lock desk operations in Optimal Blue and Encompass, serve as the go-to resource for our Loan Officers on pricing and lock questions, and take the lead on building out our Optimal Blue platform.

This is not an entry-level secondary role, and it is not a hedging or trading role. It is ideal for someone who knows lock desk inside and out, moves quickly, and wants the chance to shape how the desk is configured and run.

What You Will Do:

Lock Desk Operations

• Process new locks, extensions, relocks, and lock cancellations accurately and on time
• Apply and verify pricing adjustments, LLPAs, and approved price exceptions
• Obtain, review, and reconcile investor lock confirmations
• Monitor lock expirations across the pipeline and proactively flag upcoming expirations to Loan Officers and Operations
• Keep lock data in Encompass accurate and consistent with Optimal Blue and investor records
• Respond quickly to Loan Officer pricing and lock questions throughout the day
• Maintain clear documentation of lock activity, exceptions, and approvals

Optimal Blue Administration and Optimization

• Serve as the primary Optimal Blue administrator, including user setup, permissions, and ongoing maintenance
• Build out and configure Optimal Blue settings, including lock desk rules, extension and relock policies, pricing policies, and product setup
• Partner with IT and AI/automation professionals to streamline lock desk workflows and the Optimal Blue to Encompass integration
• Draft and maintain written procedures for lock desk processes
• Identify manual steps that can be automated or simplified

What You Bring:

Required

• 2+ years of hands-on lock desk or secondary marketing experience at a mortgage lender
• Strong working knowledge of Optimal Blue
• Strong working knowledge of Encompass
• Solid understanding of locks, extensions, relocks, pricing adjustments, and investor lock confirmations
• Highly organized, with strong attention to detail across a busy pipeline
• Responsive and comfortable communicating directly with Loan Officers under time pressure

Preferred

• Optimal Blue administration or configuration experience, including building or restructuring a setup
• Experience working with IT or technology teams on system integrations or process automation
• Familiarity with Conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo, and Non-QM pricing
• Experience at an independent mortgage banker

Hedging experience is not required.

Work Arrangement:

This is a hybrid position based in our Miami, FL office.
