Title: Electrical Assembler
Location: Thomaston, CT 06787
Shift:
- 1st shift for training (6am-2:30pm)
- 2nd shift after training (1:30-12am)
- Shifts are 4 10s (Overtime available on Fridays)
Pay rate: $23-$27/hour
Required Skills & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of electronic, electrical, cable assembly, or manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of tools: Drills, soldering, nuts, bolts, screws
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Experience using hand tools, measuring devices, and assembly equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Description
- Assemble electrical and electromechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to manufacturing drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Perform cable harness assembly, wire routing, crimping, connector installation, and soldering operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, bills of material (BOMs), assembly prints, and engineering documentation.
- Install, connect, and verify electrical components using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
- Conduct visual inspections and basic functional testing to ensure assemblies meet quality standards and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and identify assembly issues, reporting discrepancies to supervisors or engineering teams.
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
- Follow all safety, quality, and defense manufacturing procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, organized work area.
