Nurses At Home – Avon, CT
Nurses At Home is looking for a dependable, organized, and friendly Office Assistant / Receptionist to join our growing home healthcare team. This position will help keep our office running smoothly by supporting day-to-day administrative tasks and serving as one of the first points of contact for patients, families, employees, and community partners.
We are looking for someone who is professional, personable, organized, and willing to jump in wherever help is needed.
ResponsibilitiesAnswer and direct incoming phone calls
Greet visitors and assist with front-office reception
Receive, sort, distribute, and prepare incoming and outgoing mail
Scan, file, organize, and maintain office documents and records
Assist with faxing, copying, printing, and other general office tasks
Monitor and organize incoming documents and correspondence
Help maintain an organized and professional office environment
Assist staff with basic administrative and clerical projects
Order and maintain office supplies as needed
Handle confidential patient and employee information appropriately
Provide general support to the scheduling, clinical, and operations teams
Complete other administrative duties as needed
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Friendly and professional communication skills
Comfortable answering and managing a busy phone line
Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks throughout the day
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Professional demeanor when interacting with patients, families, employees, and referral partners
Previous office, receptionist, administrative, or healthcare experience is preferred but not required
