In this role, you’ll provide high-quality diagnostic imaging that drives critical decisions for patients and physicians. You’ll work across routine and special views, adapting your approach for every patient who comes through the door.

You handle complex positioning, challenging cases, and handicapped patients with equal parts technical skill and compassion.

You’ll focus on a range of diagnostic radiographic procedures, including:

• Routine radiographic exams across diverse patient populations
• Special views and more complex imaging scenarios
• Positioning for patients with physical limitations or handicaps
• Procedures requested by licensed practitioners for diagnosis or treatment
• Anatomical visualization for interpretation and intervention
• Patient care throughout imaging procedures
• Monitoring and recognizing patient conditions during exams
• Supporting safe and effective use of x-ray energy

Your accuracy, speed, and patient awareness will directly influence diagnostic confidence and outcomes.

• Providing health care services using x-ray energy to support diagnosis and treatment
• Performing medical imaging techniques and related radiographic procedures
• Demonstrating anatomy as requested by licensed practitioners for interpretation
• Carrying out routine radiographic exams with proficiency
• Performing special view imaging based on clinical needs
• Positioning all types of patients, including handicapped patients, safely and accurately
• Applying appropriate patient care before, during, and after procedures
• Recognizing patient conditions that are critical to successful completion of procedures
• Collaborating with practitioners to ensure imaging aligns with diagnostic goals
• Maintaining professional radiographic standards in daily practice

• A.S. in Radiography or Diploma in Radiography from an AMA-approved school
• Current ARRT registration
• Current Rhode Island State radiography license
• At least 1 year of experience positioning all types of patients
• Demonstrated proficiency in routine radiographic views
• Experience with special views and more complex imaging techniques
• Comfort working with handicapped and physically limited patients
• Strong focus on patient care and safety during imaging procedures

You’re not just “familiar” with radiography – you’re confident in your positioning skills, especially when the patient is in pain, anxious, or physically limited. You understand how much the diagnostic team relies on your images, and you take that responsibility seriously.

The ideal fit brings solid hands-on experience in both routine and special views, along with the judgment to recognize when a patient’s condition requires extra care, adaptation, or escalation.
