Industrial Installation & Commissioning Superintendent

Day-in-the-life: You arrive at a major industrial site where your team is mobilized to begin equipment installation. You walk the workfronts, review the latest drawings and P&IDs, confirm manpower and equipment needs, and align subcontractors. By midday, you’re coordinating mechanical, structural, piping, and electrical work to hit today’s schedule. In the afternoon, you lead a safety huddle, resolve a field conflict before it becomes a delay, and update costs and daily reports. As the sun sets, you’re planning tomorrow’s startup and commissioning steps to keep turnover on track.

• Endtoend oversight of industrial construction and field installation projects, from mobilization through completion.
• Extensive travel to customer locations across the U.S. based on project needs.
• Direct supervision of crews, foremen, and subcontractors in active industrial and manufacturing environments.
• Coordination of mechanical, structural, piping, electrical, equipment installation, and related construction activities.
• Interpretation of blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and all project documentation.
• Creation and upkeep of project schedules, manpower plans, and daily work plans.
• Tracking progress, productivity, costs, materials, and equipment utilization.
• Collaboration with engineers, project managers, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Strict adherence to OSHA standards, company safety policies, and sitespecific procedures; leadership of safety and progress meetings and regular inspections.
• Rapid identification of field issues and coordination of solutions to avoid delays.
• Management of change orders, field documentation, daily reports, and project closeout activities.
• Verification that all installations meet quality benchmarks and customer specifications.
• Leadership of startup, commissioning, punchlist completion, and turnover when required.

• Seasoned industrial construction leaders or superintendents who have delivered complex field installations.
• Professionals experienced with industrial mechanical, piping, structural, electrical, and equipmentinstallation scopes.
• Handson leaders who motivate and develop foremen and craft crews.
• Comfort in dynamic, active industrial and manufacturing settings.
• Fluency in reading drawings and technical documentation, including P&IDs.
• Deep knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements.
• Willingness to travel extensively and remain on site for extended durations.
• Excellent communicators with strong organization and problemsolving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to satisfy travel requirements.
