Lead Custom Machine Builder Quick Facts

- Pay: $30 - 35/hr
- Schedule: 1st Shift, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday–Friday
What you’ll do
- Use hand and power tools to build mechanical systems and custom machinery from the ground up.
- Perform basic panel wiring to support machine functionality.
- Read and apply blueprints, drawings, schematics, and work instructions to ensure correct assembly.
- Diagnose and correct mechanical issues encountered during assembly.
- Conduct quality checks and verify compliance to specifications on completed builds.
- Communicate with customers to provide progress updates and confirm requirements.
- Assist with general maintenance around the shop.
Required background
- Must be a U.S. Person.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing or automotive setting, or equivalent education/experience mix.
- Hands-on expertise in mechanical and machine assembly.
- Fluency in reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Comfort with hand tools, power tools, and standard assembly equipment.
- High attention to detail and working knowledge of basic quality inspection practices.
- Effective communicator with solid math and computer skills.
