Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader

Location: Santa Rosa Beach / 30A / Miramar Beach / Freeport

Position: Full-Time, Year-Round

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7 AM–5 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, dependable Crew Leader to oversee daily landscape maintenance operations. This individual will be responsible for managing a crew, maintaining high-quality standards, completing assigned routes efficiently, and ensuring employees remain productive throughout the workday.

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring someone who leads by example and takes ownership of their crew's performance.

Primary Responsibilities

Crew Leadership & Productivity

Supervise and direct crew members throughout the day.

Assign responsibilities and maintain an efficient workflow.

Train employees on proper maintenance procedures and equipment operation.

Eliminate unnecessary downtime and inefficient work habits.

Lead by example and actively participate in daily maintenance.

Property Maintenance & Quality Control

Oversee mowing, edging, weed eating, blowing, shrub trimming, and general property cleanup.

Ensure every property meets Top Notch quality standards before leaving.

Identify irrigation problems, plant health concerns, and other property issues.

Prevent property damage and ensure all debris is properly removed.

Maintain consistent quality across residential and HOA properties.

Scheduling & Communication

Complete assigned daily routes within scheduled timeframes.

Communicate delays, equipment problems, and property concerns to management.

Maintain professional interactions with customers.

Report employee performance issues and additional work opportunities.

Equipment & Safety

Ensure trucks, trailers, and equipment are properly maintained.

Conduct daily equipment inspections.

Verify all tools and supplies are loaded before leaving the shop.

Enforce safe equipment operation and company policies.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of professional landscape maintenance experience preferred.

Previous crew leadership experience strongly preferred.

Proficient with commercial mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers, and hedge trimmers.

Valid driver's license and ability to operate a truck and trailer.

Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Ability to work outdoors in Florida heat and physically demanding conditions.

Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
