Pay rate: 750 USD/Day equivalent (23.44 USD/Hour)

Per Diem: 30 USD/Day

Job Code: 82662001 The MI Drilling Fluids Specialist is responsible for maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable PSD to Customers. The MI Drilling Fluids Specialist identifies opportunities to improve service delivery, implements standard work, and manage, risk during service delivery. * Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time. * Responsible for service delivery execution. * Participate in job risk analysis and continual improvement programs. * Develop customer contacts to promote company products and services. * Ensure company and regulatory standard compliance by implementing the CAT, self-assessments, and wellsite inspections. * Participate in Service Quality Meetings with customers and improve performance using action plans. * Participate in HSE and Quality initiatives. * Wear PPE and observe HSE policies. * Maintain the required safety training.

Drilling Fluids Specialist

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Ability to manage, test, and optimize liquid chemical mixtures used in oil and gas drilling operations to maintain wellbore stability, control formation pressures, and cool and lubricate drilling equipment.
• Testing and Monitoring: Measure and analyze drilling fluid (mud) properties like viscosity, density, and weight at rig sites.
• Adjusting Formulations: Calculate and direct chemical additive mixes to respond to changing underground pressure or rock formations.
• Inventory Management: Oversee on-site product supplies and coordinate material deliveries with Baker Hughes or other service providers.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow strict environmental and safety rules for waste disposal and hazard mitigation.
• Reporting: Log data and write daily mud reports for company men and drilling engineers

5 years minimum

Education / Certifications:

Mud School preferred
