Meador, an Openwork Company, is currently engaged in a search to find a
direct hireTitle Clerk. The Title Clerk maintains files of sales, prices, payments, warranties, service contracts and other pertinent information related to the sale or transfer of a vehicle. The Title Clerk will be responsible for safeguarding lien documents, titles, and other vital records.
As the
Title Clerk, you will:
- Open and distribute incoming mail under dual control.
- Ensure that all titles are in the file cabinet.
- Pull paid loan report from system. Verify loan paid in full and release title to member.
- Ensure release of lien documentation is received to secure all liens.
- Ensure that Plus4 remains in compliance with state, local and federal laws regarding titles.
- Responsible for released titles and insurance pay offs.
- Process release of liens as needed and/or requested.
- Scan documents into system.
- Mail titles on all automobiles paid out to members and other financial institutions as needed and/or as requested.
- Work at a receptionist desk when needed.
- Hold all financial transactions of the Credit Union and its members in strict confidence.
- Cross sell credit union services.
- Verify returned mail addresses have not already been updated.
- Follow returned mail procedure 352.
What you’ll need:- At least 1 year of experience as a title clerk
- Great communication skills and the ability to work under compliance requirements.
- 5+ years of state or government experience
