Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Toccoa, Georgia

This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter passionate about enhancing educational access for students who are Deaf or hard-of-hearing. You will play a vital role in facilitating classroom understanding and participation for one high school student.

What You'll Need:

• Active Georgia Educational Interpreter Certification or GaPSC Certification
• RID Certification OR EIPA score of 3.5 or above
• Previous experience as a school-based Sign Language Interpreter (preferred)
• Availability for the full contract period (ASAP – May 28, 2027)
• Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to student-centered support

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one interpretation services throughout the school day to a high school student
• Ensure accurate and effective communication between student, peers, and school staff
• Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, assemblies, and extracurricular activities as needed
• Collaborate with educators and school teams to ensure an inclusive learning environment
• Maintain strict confidentiality and follow all relevant educational and professional guidelines
• Remain on-site to provide dedicated support during school hours (Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week)
