The Clear Lake branch ishiring an experienced Kitting Department Lead to oversee daily operations and help ensure the department runs safely, efficiently, and productively. This role is ideal for someone with previous production, manufacturing, kitting, or line-lead experience who is comfortable directing a team and making decisions independently.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily workflow and production activities within the kitting department
- Process orders and follow production/order lists accurately
- Assign employees to workstations based on production needs and efficiency
- Delegate tasks and manage the flow of employees throughout the production line
- Monitor production to ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule
- Understand the kitting process from start to finish
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot machinery and equipment used in the process
- Identify production issues and take appropriate action to keep operations moving
- Make independent decisions and adjust staffing or workflow as needed
- Communicate production needs, issues, and updates with management
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment
What Were Looking For:
- Previous lead, supervisor, or team lead experience in a production/manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of production processes and workflow
- Ability to effectively direct and delegate work to a team
- Comfortable working with machinery and production equipment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the department
- Previous SAP experience is a plus
- Kitting, assembly, manufacturing, or similar production experience preferred
Important: This is a production leadership role, not a general warehouse position. We are looking for someone who understands how to manage people, production flow, equipment, and daily operations while keeping the department running efficiently.
Schedule: MondayFriday | 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Pay: $18.00/hr. Paid weekly!
