Activity Director

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Activity Director to join our team at Middle River Health and Rehab, a skilled nursing facility located in South Range, WI. As an Activity Director, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading recreational and therapeutic activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents. Responsibilities:
Develop and implement activity programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents, including social, recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities
Coordinate and lead activities, including arts and crafts, music, exercise, and entertainment programs
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify resident needs and preferences, and incorporate these into activity programs
Design and implement special events and celebrations for holidays and special occasions
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activity programs, making adjustments as necessary
Maintain accurate records of activity participation and resident feedback
Develop and manage activity budgets to ensure effective use of resources
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation therapy, gerontology, or related field preferred
1-3 years of experience in activity direction or a related field
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
