HVAC Installer – Full Time
James Thomas Heating and Cooling
Pay: $16–$20/hour, based on experience
James Thomas Heating and Cooling is growing, and we're looking for a reliable HVAC Installer to join our install team. If you take pride in clean, code-compliant work and like being part of a crew that has each other's backs, we'd like to hear from you.
What you'll do
Install and replace residential and commercial heating and cooling systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, and rooftop units
Run and modify ductwork, line sets, and condensate lines
Make electrical and low-voltage connections to equipment and thermostats
Start up and test new systems to make sure they run correctly
Keep job sites clean and treat every customer's home or business with respect
Work with the lead installer and office team to finish jobs on schedule
What we're looking for
1+ year of HVAC installation experience (we'll consider strong helpers ready to step up)
Working knowledge of ductwork, brazing, and basic electrical
EPA 608 certification preferred
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, on rooftops, and outdoors in all weather
Dependable, on time, and able to work well with a team
