Job Requirements
Description: The Technician plays an important role in the production process within the medical device manufacturing company. This position is responsible for setting up various machines for production cycles, monitoring machine settings, and inspecting parts to ensure compliance with specifications. Technicians also periodically test machine operation, check output for defects, and document production activities.
Summary: This position is on-site from Monday to Friday, reporting directly to the Production Manager - Operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Set up various machines for production cycles, including calibration and cleaning, etc.
· Monitor and adjust machine settings to optimize performance and quality.
· Feed raw materials or parts into semi-automated machines as required.
· Inspect parts using measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
· Periodically test machine operation to promptly identify and resolve issues.
· Check output for defects or flaws and maintain records of approved and defective units.
· Document production activities and maintain accurate activity logs.
· Work under ISO 13485:2016 (Medical device – Quality management systems) standards where applicable.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Proven experience as a machine operator, preferably in the medical device industry.
· Familiarity with diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools. (e.g. Caliper, Micrometer, etc.)
· Good understanding of production procedures and quality control processes.
· Adherence to health and safety regulations, including the use of protective gear.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
· Physical stamina to comfortably lift and carry objects weighing 50 pounds.
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification is a plus.
