Location: Lafayette, IN area (30 miles southwest of Lafayette)
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 2nd Shift – 3:00pm – 11:00pm – Monday to Friday

Pay: 80-85K plus overtime pay

We’re looking for an experienced Controls Technician to join our manufacturing team and keep automated production equipment running at peak performance.

If you’re the person people call when a machine goes down and you know how to troubleshoot PLCs, diagnose controls issues, and edit existing PLC code to get equipment back up and running, this could be a great opportunity for you.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot PLCs and automated manufacturing equipment
• Edit, modify, and manipulate existing PLC code to diagnose and resolve equipment issues
• Troubleshoot electrical, hardware, software, instrumentation, and controls problems
• Diagnose equipment failures and identify root causes
• Support equipment startups, retrofits, upgrades, and process improvements
• Test, maintain, and improve automated production systems
• Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues
• Respond to production equipment breakdowns and provide support when needed
• Help improve equipment reliability, uptime, and overall production performance

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of manufacturing, industrial controls, or automation experience
• Hands-on PLC troubleshooting experience
• Proven experience editing, modifying, and manipulating PLC code
• Experience troubleshooting automated industrial equipment
• Strong electrical and controls troubleshooting skills
• Strong mechanical/electrical problem-solving ability
• Ability to diagnose problems quickly and determine effective solutions
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

A technical degree, certificate, or equivalent hands-on experience is preferred.
