Our client is seeking an experienced ApplinX Web Developer to maintain and support ApplinX web development modernization solutions implemented within legacy applications. The consultant will be responsible for maintaining existing ApplinX solutions and implementing limited enhancements as needed. The position will collaborate with internal staff to incorporate, test, and implement changes while providing knowledge transfer to ensure internal teams can effectively support the solutions.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced ApplinX/Web professional with strong knowledge of ApplinX servers, ApplinX Designer seats, ApplinX applications, ApplinX web applications, and ApplinX NATAPX hosts.

• Maintain and support ApplinX web development modernization solutions.
• Develop and maintain ApplinX applications and web applications.
• Implement limited enhancements based on business and technical requirements.
• Support ApplinX servers, Designer seats, applications, web applications, and NATAPX hosts.
• Work with customers and stakeholders to gather and formulate business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop, test, troubleshoot, and implement application changes.
• Perform QA testing and support production implementations.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Provide technical knowledge transfer and guidance to internal staff.
• Analyze application performance and develop well-performing web solutions.
• Apply Agile software development practices.
• Support SOAP, REST, and other integration methods.
• Troubleshoot application and production issues.
• Participate in minimal on-call support for critical production emergencies.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively through written, verbal, and presentation skills.

The candidate must have 7+ years of Java experience and hands-on experience developing and maintaining ApplinX solutions. Experience with ApplinX version 11 or later, including ApplinX 11.1, is required. The candidate must have experience working with customers to build and formulate business requirements and possess knowledge of Agile software development.

The candidate must have advanced experience with JavaServer Pages (JSP) and services, as well as modern web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. Advanced experience with service-oriented architecture and web services, including SOAP and REST, is required.

The candidate should have programming experience in Java or Microsoft .NET, intermediate experience with Linux RHEL 8.10, intermediate experience with Adabas, advanced experience with QA testing, and advanced PC skills.

Strong analytical ability is required to structure and develop well-performing websites. Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills are also required.

Experience with SQL Server, Jira Software, and Agile methodologies is preferred. Additional experience with legacy application modernization, enterprise web development, web services, application integration, production support, technical documentation, and knowledge transfer will be beneficial.
