Warehouse Manager

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for logistics, organization, and vendor management? At Community Broadband Networks (CBN), we’re on a mission to bring affordable, high-speed internet to underserved communities. Located in Islandia, NY, we are a growing Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) building fiber and fixed wireless infrastructure to connect more people to the digital world. We’re looking for a Warehouse Manager to help us keep our broadband projects on track by ensuring materials, equipment, and services are ready when they’re needed most.

As our Warehouse Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring every broadband project has the materials and support it needs to succeed. This is a role for someone who thrives on creating order, building strong vendor relationships, and keeping things running smoothly. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver internet access to communities that need it most.

• Sourcing and Procurement: Source materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for broadband construction and operations, ensuring everything is on time and within budget.
• Warehouse Operations: Oversee the storage, logistics, and inspection of telecommunications materials, while managing warehouse associates and ensuring the safe use of equipment.
• Inventory Management: Track inventory levels, lead times, and material readiness to prevent delays, and maintain accurate procurement logs, purchase orders, and vendor records.
• Team Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, construction supervisors, and finance teams to align procurement activities with schedules and budgets.
• Compliance Oversight: Ensure all procurement activities meet grant funding, prevailing wage, and reporting requirements.
• Material Distribution: Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials to field crews and subcontractors.
• Workplace Leadership: Monitor team performance, lead training initiatives, and implement logical organization and communication systems within the warehouse.

• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in procurement, warehouse management, or supply chain (experience in construction or telecom is a plus).
• Skills: Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, proficiency in inventory management systems and MS Excel, and excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Education: A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field is preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to carry and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Bonus Points: Familiarity with grant compliance and reporting is a plus.
