Required Qualifications:
- Active New York State RN license Required
- Primary Source Verification of RN license and registration through NYSED Required
- ASN/ADN from an accredited nursing program Required
- MSN – Education (MSN-Ed) degree Required
- AHA BLS certification Required
- Minimum 2 years of solid Med/Surg nursing experience Required
- Strong Med/Surg clinical background
- Demonstrated clinical nursing expertise
- Strong teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience developing and delivering clinical education and training
- Ability to educate and support nursing staff in an ambulatory care environment
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Nurse Educator supporting ambulatory care services
- Develop and deliver educational programs for nursing staff
- Provide orientation, training, and ongoing education to nursing personnel
- Assess staff learning needs and develop appropriate educational strategies
- Apply Med/Surg clinical expertise to support evidence-based nursing practices
- Provide clinical guidance and education related to patient care and nursing standards
- Support nursing staff with competency and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams
- Evaluate educational programs and provide feedback
- Maintain documentation of education, training, competencies, and staff participation
- Promote patient safety, quality improvement, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance
- Support a professional learning environment
