Affinity Engagement Associate (Part-Time)

The Indiana University Alumni Association (IUAA) is seeking a highly organized and collaborative Affinity Engagement Associate to support initiatives that strengthen engagement among Indiana University's identity-based alumni communities.

This part-time temporary position provides hands-on experience in alumni relations, project management, communications, research, and higher education advancement. The role is ideal for a graduate or professional student interested in community engagement, nonprofit organizations, communications, or higher education.

What You'll Do

• Support project planning, timelines, meeting coordination, agendas, notes, and follow-up action items.
• Assist with communications and outreach efforts across IU's identity-based alumni communities.
• Develop and schedule digital content, project updates, and engagement communications.
• Maintain planning calendars, project trackers, and departmental resources.
• Conduct research on alumni engagement trends and best practices.
• Assist with reports, presentations, dashboards, and assessment projects.
• Support the planning and execution of events, programs, and volunteer engagement activities.
• Track participation data and assist with post-event reporting.
• Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.

• Currently enrolled as a graduate or professional student at Indiana University during the 2026-2027 academic year.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
• Commitment to fostering inclusive engagement and working effectively with diverse communities.

This is a part-time temporary position onsite at the Virgil T. DeVault Alumni Center in Bloomington, Indiana.

This position requires local travel and periodic travel to the Indianapolis office. Occasional events may also require support outside of normal business hours.
