Position Summary
We are seeking experienced and qualified Radiologic Technologists to join our mobile imaging team in Richmond, Virginia. The Radiologic Technologist will provide mobile X-ray and, when applicable, EKG services to nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and other designated locations.
This position is ideal for a technologist who enjoys working independently, interacting with a variety of patients and healthcare professionals, and providing quality diagnostic imaging services in non-hospital settings.
Schedule Options
The team is open to candidates interested in a variety of schedules, including:
- Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- Monday–Friday: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
- Weekend Schedule: Thursday–Saturday, Friday–Sunday, or Saturday–Monday, approximately 8:00 AM–8:30 PM
- Other schedules may be considered based on operational needs.
- Weekend work may constitute overtime depending on patient/case volume.
- On-call responsibilities are required and will be discussed during the interview.
-> Key Responsibilities
- Perform mobile X-ray examinations using portable digital radiography (DR) or computed radiography (CR) equipment.
- Obtain high-quality, clinically diagnostic images according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Transport, unload, set up, and safely operate portable X-ray equipment at nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and other locations.
- Properly position patients and equipment to obtain technically accurate diagnostic images.
- Process and transmit completed X-ray examinations to radiologists for interpretation.
- Perform EKGs when required and transmit results to the appropriate cardiologist for interpretation.
- Complete and scan required exam documentation and billing paperwork in accordance with company procedures.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with dispatch, management, facility staff, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain professional relationships with patients, clients, coworkers, and supervisory staff.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle and imaging equipment in safe and operational condition.
- Follow all applicable radiation safety, infection control, patient care, and company policies.
- Travel to assigned facilities throughout the service area to complete scheduled examinations.
-> Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification required.
- Current Virginia Radiologic Technologist license required.
- Limited licenses are not accepted.
- Valid driver's license in the applicable state and a satisfactory driving record.
- Must live within approximately 30 minutes of Richmond, VA.
- Must be able to meet applicable health, licensing, certification, and operational requirements.
- COVID-19 vaccination is required, unless an approved exemption is properly documented.
- Previous experience with portable/mobile X-ray services is preferred.
-> Physical Requirements
This is a mobile position requiring regular transportation and handling of portable imaging equipment.
- Ability to push and pull equipment weighing approximately 50–100 lbs.
- Vehicle ramps and pulleys may be used to assist with equipment transportation.
- Ability to maneuver imaging equipment through healthcare facilities and other environments.
- Ability to perform repetitive pushing/pulling and other physical activities throughout the workday.
