About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee heavy civil construction projects ranging from $500,000 to $20 million. This individual will manage projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong background in heavy civil construction, estimating, scheduling, cost control, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple heavy civil construction projects ranging from $500K to $20M
- Oversee project performance, budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and resources
- Review plans, specifications, contracts, and bid documents
- Develop and maintain project schedules, forecasts, and cost reports
- Coordinate with owners, engineers, field personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Monitor project profitability and implement corrective actions as needed
- Review and approve change orders, pay applications, and purchase orders
- Track project costs and production against budget objectives
- Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and project specifications
- Assist with project estimating, bid reviews, and preconstruction planning
- Support field teams in resolving technical and operational challenges
- Manage project closeout documentation and final deliverables
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience within heavy civil construction
- Proven experience managing projects ranging from $500,000 to $20 million
- Strong understanding of earthwork, utilities, site development, paving, concrete, drainage, and civil infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
