Plastic Injection Molding Operator - 2nd OR 3rd Shift
Location: Miami Lakes, FL
Work Environment: On-Site
Shifts Available:
- 2nd Shift: M-F 2:30PM - 11:00PM
- 3rd Shift: M-F 10:30PM - 7:00AM
- Weekend Part Time: Sat & Sun 10-12 hour long shift (times TBD)
About the Role
Insight Global is seeking a Plastic Injection Molding Operator to work 2nd or 3rd shift for our client in Miami Lakes, FL. You will join a medical device design and manufacturing organization focused on supporting regulated device development, contract manufacturing, and medical device assembly. The Plastic Injection Molding Operator will support manufacturing operations by operating and monitoring injection molding equipment used in the production of medical device components. This position helps ensure product quality, adherence to established manufacturing procedures, and compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate plastic injection molding machines according to established work instructions and production schedules.
- Monitor molding processes and identify quality or process concerns.
- Inspect molded components for defects and conformance to specifications.
- Perform trimming, packaging, labeling, and handling of finished components as required.
- Complete production documentation accurately and maintain traceability records.
- Follow quality procedures, safety protocols, and manufacturing standards.
- Support equipment startup, shutdown, material changes, and basic troubleshooting activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including adherence to cleanroom or controlled-environment requirements when applicable.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years experience operating plastic injection molding equipment
- Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Ability to follow written work instructions and manufacturing procedures
- Ability to determine product quality through visual inspection
