Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inspection Technician to join our team. The Inspection Technician will be responsible for inspecting machined parts, verifying dimensions, and ensuring all products meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional inspections on machined parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMMs, and other measuring tools
  • Verify parts conform to engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
  • Identify, report, and track non-conforming parts or deviations
  • Assist in developing inspection procedures and quality control processes
  • Work closely with production, setup, and programming teams to resolve quality issues
  • Maintain inspection equipment calibration and organization
  • Ensure compliance with company quality policies and safety procedures

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of inspection in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
  • Proficiency with measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, CMM)
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a CNC machining environment
  • Familiarity with ISO or AS9100 quality standards
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC)
