CNC Maintenance Technician

Machine & Fabrication Shop Maintenance Technician

Pay Range: $40 - $50 per hour

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to keep our CNC equipment, fabrication machinery, and facility operating at peak performance. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who can perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

DAY SHIFT

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on CNC mills, lathes, 5-axis machines, Wire EDM, surface grinders, band saws, and other fabrication equipment.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control issues on CNC machines and related equipment.

• Repair and maintain welding equipment, including MIG and TIG systems.

• Maintain facility support systems including air compressors, coolant systems, dust collection systems, and overhead cranes/hoists.

• Perform general building maintenance including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical systems, and safety equipment.

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe shop, office, and exterior work areas.

• Coordinate waste disposal, scrap recycling, and hazardous material handling in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.

• Order maintenance parts, tools, and consumables while controlling costs.

• Assist with developing and improving preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to minimize production downtime.

• Work closely with machine operators, programmers, and leadership to quickly resolve equipment issues.

• Participate in safety inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Provide guidance to employees on proper equipment care and basic preventive maintenance.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a machine shop, fabrication, or manufacturing environment preferred.

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment.

• Working knowledge of electrical systems, motors, drives, sensors, PLC troubleshooting, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Experience maintaining welding equipment and general fabrication machinery.

• Basic welding and fabrication skills for in-house repairs.

• Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to comply with all company safety guidelines, OSHA requirements, and ITAR regulations.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Must be a US Citizen
