Job Description
We are seeking a Learning & Development Facilitator & Instructional Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in facilitation of instructor-led and virtual learning and the design of learner-centered training and a proven ability to deliver engaging programs that advance employee and leadership development outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate instructor-led programs in-person and virtually using established curricula and materials. Statewide travel may be required for in-person delivery.
- Lead learning on leadership development, communication, emotional intelligence, team effectiveness, change management, conflict resolution, performance management, and inclusive workplace practices.
- Create psychologically safe, engaging learning environments that promote participation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
- Manage group dynamics and address challenging questions and sensitive discussions with professionalism and care.
- Design and develop facilitator guides, participant workbooks, presentations, job aids, and supporting resources.
- Apply adult learning principles and methodologies such as ADDIE or SAM to create effective learning experiences.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content, validate accuracy, and develop relevant instructional materials.
- Evaluate participant feedback and learning metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide observations and recommendations to program leaders on engagement and training effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate attendance, evaluation, and training records.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years facilitating instructor-led training, workshops, or adult learning programs.
- Proven experience designing and developing instructor-led and blended learning solutions.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and public speaking skills.
- Experience facilitating discussions on DEIB and other sensitive workplace topics.
- Experience delivering management and leadership development programs.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience coaching or consulting with leaders at all levels to strengthen effectiveness.
- Familiarity with learning management systems and learning analytics.
- Experience evaluating learning outcomes and using data to improve programs.
- Experience with Articulate Storyline 360.
