Admissions Director

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Admissions Director to lead our patient intake and enrollment processes across 2 of our healthcare facilities. This vital role involves overseeing the entire admissions operation, ensuring a seamless experience for residents while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and managing the administrative team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in skilled nursing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence operational efficiency and contribute to the overall success of our facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the coordination of resident admission

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, JCAHO standards, health regulation policies, and other legal requirements related to patient records and confidentiality

• Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow from initial contact through treatment planning and follow-up

• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in medical administrative support functions and optimize patient experience

• Maintain accurate medical records management, including electronic health records (EHR) systems, medical terminology accuracy, and documentation standards

• Stay informed on healthcare management best practices, managed care policies, utilization management protocols, and hospital or clinic accreditation standards

Requirements

• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft or similar platforms

• Experience working in various healthcare environments including acute care hospitals or skilled nursing facilities.

• Excellent understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, medical records handling, and health regulation policies

• Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams within a healthcare practice or clinic setting

• Background in nursing or medical administrative support is advantageous but not mandatory

• Ability to adapt quickly to changing healthcare regulations and technology systems such as Managed Care or Utilization Management protocols
