Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
Location: Dandelion Cafe at Rice University

Dandelion Cafe is hiring an experienced, reliable cook to join our Rice University team! We are looking for someone who takes pride in preparing great food, works well with others, and understands that showing up on time and ready to work matters.

This is a hands-on kitchen position. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, keeping your station organized, and helping your teammates deliver consistent, high-quality food.

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Dandelion Cafe’s recipes, portions, and presentation standards.
• Keep your station stocked, clean, and organized while following food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Communicate clearly with the team to keep orders accurate and moving efficiently.
• Complete assigned prep, cleaning, and end-of-shift duties, and step in where needed to support the kitchen.

Previous professional cooking experience is required. You must be available to work the full posted schedule consistently and arrive on time, prepared for your shift.

Our ideal candidate is dependable, works with a sense of urgency, takes direction well, and brings a positive, team-first attitude. Breakfast, lunch, or caf experience is a plus.
