The Entry-Level Repair Engineer is an early-career engineering position designed to develop technical expertise within APG's gas turbine repair operations. Engineers will be assigned to a specific product or repair area based on business needs. Working alongside experienced Repair Engineers, Technical Representatives, Operations, and Quality personnel, the engineer will build a practical understanding of gas turbine component repair processes. In this role, the engineer will also contribute to engineering support, process improvement initiatives, and technical projects.
KEY FUNCTIONS
- Develop technical knowledge of assigned gas turbine components, repair processes, and applicable engineering requirements.
- Support experienced engineers with day-to-day repair engineering activities.
- Assist with development, review, and improvement of repair routers, work instructions, and technical documentation.
- Review drawings, specifications, inspection results, and repair requirements under the guidance of experienced engineering personnel.
- Assist with troubleshooting production and repair issues.
- Support engineering evaluations and dispositions for non-standard component conditions.
- Work directly with Operations, Tech Reps, and Quality to understand component flow and repair execution.
- Participate in lean and continuous improvement projects within the assigned repair area.
- Analyze repair processes and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency.
- Support engineering and process-development projects.
- Collect and analyze technical and production data as needed.
- Participate in root cause investigations and corrective-action activities.
- Develop familiarity with customer requirements and the technical aspects of customer support.
- Participate in cross-training and development opportunities across other engineering or repair functions as appropriate.
- Perform other engineering duties and special projects as assigned.

WORK QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Strong interest in manufacturing, gas turbines, rotating equipment, repair engineering, or industrial operations.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in a hands-on production and shop environment.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and other functional teams.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
