Schedule: Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 10:00 AM–10:00 PM

Our Conroe location was created to provide accessible, affordable veterinary care to the community and pets in need. We are a high-volume, low-cost practice, which means we see a lot of patients, move quickly, and work together as a team to get things done.

This is not your typical veterinary hospital and this is not a typical Lead Tech position.

We are looking for an experienced, confident Lead Veterinary Technician who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and knows how to lead by example.

You will be on the floor. This is a hands-on leadership position. You will actively work as a veterinary technician while leading the technician team, keeping the hospital moving, and making sure patients receive efficient, compassionate care.

There is no sitting in an office watching the floor you are part of the hustle.

• Work hands-on as a veterinary technician while leading the technician team
• Help keep patient flow moving efficiently throughout the hospital
• Coordinate and delegate responsibilities to the technician team
• Monitor workflow and jump in wherever you are needed
• Assist with appointments, treatments, surgery, anesthesia, procedures and patient care
• Place IV catheters, draw blood, administer medications and perform other technician duties
• Monitor anesthesia and surgical patients
• Perform and oversee proper patient treatments and nursing care
• Ensure treatment areas, surgical areas and equipment remain clean, stocked and ready
• Help maintain efficient room turnover and patient flow
• Ensure medical protocols and hospital procedures are followed
• Help train, mentor and support veterinary technicians and assistants
• Communicate effectively with DVMs and the entire hospital team
• Troubleshoot problems quickly and keep the team moving when the hospital gets busy
• Help maintain a positive, collaborative and accountable team environment
• Lead by example work hard, stay engaged and never ask your team to do something you wouldn't do yourself

• Previous veterinary technician experience; lead or senior technician experience strongly preferred
• Strong surgical and anesthesia skills
• Comfortable working in a high-volume environment
• Confident handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
• Strong understanding of veterinary nursing and patient care
• Excellent organization and time-management skills
• Able to prioritize and delegate in a fast-moving environment
• Comfortable making decisions and solving problems on the fly
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable, accountable and willing to jump in wherever needed
• Someone who genuinely enjoys working as part of a team
• Someone who can handle busy really busy
• CVT/LVT/RVT is a plus, but we will consider highly experienced technicians who are not credentialed
