We are hiring Entry-Level MIG Welders for a manufacturing facility in La Crosse, Virginia. This is a great opportunity for recent welding school graduates or welders looking to build their experience in a production environment.
Day 1 Expectations / Must Haves
Candidates must meet one of the following:
- Completed a High School Welding Program or Technical School Welding Program
OR
- Be able to pass a 2G – 1" Horizontal Weld Test- Must pass both visual inspection and bend test
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Perform Production MIG welding on structural steel components
- Weld using .045 wire
- Work within established welding parameters, including 24–30 amps and 400–500 wire speed
- Perform welds with an emphasis on CJP (Complete Joint Penetration)
- Perform arc gouging as required
- Receive material that has already been fitted and complete welds according to the blueprints and weld locations
- Work with structural components including I-beams, joists, webbing, connection plates, stiffeners, supporting brackets, and other steel components
- Follow all required safety and quality procedures
