Kindly Direct Care is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional for a higher-acuity one-to-one assignment in Phillipsburg NJ 08865. (Warren County)

About This Opportunity

This position requires a DSP with strong judgment, reliability, and relevant direct-care experience. The individual requires more intensive and focused support and supervision. The assignment rate reflects the complexity and expectations of this specific case.

Responsibilities May Include

• Provide close one-to-one supervision and safety monitoring.

• Provide support to a 33-year-old nonverbal individual with spina bifida who enjoys music, shopping, going out for lunch, and socializing. The individual requires assistance with daily activities and uses a wheelchair and shower chair. A caring and patient DSP who enjoys providing companionship and community support would be a great fit.

• Follow individualized behavioral, medical, health, and safety protocols within DSP scope and training.

• Support communication, routines, community participation, and independence.

• Use approved support strategies consistently and calmly.

• Recognize and promptly report changes in health, behavior, functioning, or safety.

• Respond appropriately to urgent concerns and follow emergency procedures.

• Maintain accurate service documentation and dependable communication with the care team.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in DSP, CNA, HHA, behavioral health, direct care, complex care, or a similar high-support role preferred.

• Strong reliability, judgment, communication, and ability to follow detailed protocols.

• Comfort with the specific support needs reviewed during screening.

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the assignment.

• Reliable Vehicle Required.

• Ability to complete all required training and competency requirements before working independently.

Schedule: 8 Hours on Saturdays.
Pay: 19-23/hr.
Location: Phillipsburg NJ 08865. (Warren County)
Driving on shift: REQUIRED
