SalSon Logistics is seeking an experienced Parts Manager to oversee parts purchasing and inventory for our fleet, facility maintenance, and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of tractor and trailer repairs, strong vendor-management skills, and the ability to control costs while keeping essential parts available.
Responsibilities:
- Procure parts, tools, and supplies for tractor and trailer operations, building maintenance, and logistics.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure critical parts are available when needed.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate pricing, warranties, and purchasing terms.
- Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to identify parts needs.
- Track purchases, deliveries, returns, warranties, and overall parts spending.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in tractor and trailer repair and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts.
- Experience with purchasing, inventory control, and vendor management.
- Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
