About Us
Appalachian Community Services provides Mental Health, Behavioral Health, Substance Use, and Developmental Disability services to individuals, families, and communities within the seven western counties of North Carolina. We provide a wide range of walk-in, psychiatric, substance abuse, and crisis services to adults and children.
About the Role
We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical services to all clients receiving ACT team services, which includes medication prescription, administration, monitoring, and documentation; directing psychopharmacologic and medical services; service coordination, including working with the ACT team to monitor each individual's clinical status and response to treatment; crisis assessment and intervention; symptom assessment and management; individual counseling and psychotherapy; substance use treatment; work-related services; activities of daily living services; social, interpersonal relationship, and leisure-time activity services; support services or direct assistance to ensure that individuals obtain the basic necessities of daily life; and education, support, and consultation to individuals' families and other major supports.

Compensation
