Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our fast-paced family owner team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your enthusiasm, mechanical knowledge, and exceptional communication skills will ensure a positive experience for every client. You will coordinate service appointments, explain repair options, and work closely with technicians to deliver top-quality automotive care. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Prepare detailed estimates using estimating Mitchell Shop Key software,
- Communicate effectively with clients about recommended repairs, costs, and timelines, ensuring transparency and trust
- Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle diagnostics and customer needs to maximize dealership revenue
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts, transmissions.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining excellent client communication throughout the service process
- Maintain thorough records of all service activities, estimates, invoices, and client interactions
Experience
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar auto service management role within a dealership environment
- Some mechanical knowledge
- Familiarity with Mitchell SHop Key managment proram
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures including oil changes, brake repair, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, transmissions repair
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally
- Experience in upselling services while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicles safely
