Job Overview

Join our team and play a vital role in bringing essential infrastructure projects to life!

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Field Operations Assistant to support an active water utility project in the Trenton, NJ area. This role plays a key part in preparing neighborhoods as the first point of contact for upcoming work by handling public notifications, completing preliminary inspections, and ensuring job sites are properly posted.

This is an independent, field-based position requiring daily travel, outdoor work, and interaction with residents, field crews, and office staff.

What You’ll Do:

· Distribute flyers and notices to residents and businesses in designated work areas

· Install and maintain “No Parking” signs in advance of scheduled construction

· Independently conduct preliminary field inspections, including knocking on doors and engaging with residents, requesting access to homes as needed, locating water meters in areas such as basements and crawl spaces, and thoroughly documenting findings, photos, and required information using a company-provided iPad.

· Accurately complete and submit inspection reports in a timely manner

· Follow assigned routes and daily schedules to ensure deadlines are met

· Communicate any issues, access challenges, or field updates to the project team

What We’re Looking For:

· No prior experience requiredwe’ll train the right candidates!

· Bilingual in English and Spanish is required, with the ability to communicate fluently with residents in both languages

· Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle (daily local travel required)

· Comfortable entering residential homes and interacting professionally with the public

· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

· Able to walk, stand, and move throughout neighborhoods for extended periods

· Comfortable using an iPad for data entry, photos, and documentation

· Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

· Reliable, punctual, and organized

What We Provide

· $20.00 per hour

· Weekly gas stipend to help cover local travel expenses

· Consistent Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM no nights or weekends required

Position Duration

This position is expected to last approximately 1 year, based on the current project timeline. Continued employment beyond this project will depend on future contract awards and project locations.
