Responsibilities
Service & Repair
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, and ice machines.
- Service residential and light-commercial HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
- Identify equipment problems and recommend appropriate repairs or solutions.
Preventative Maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Maintain equipment to help ensure reliable, efficient operation for contract customers.
- Document service work and communicate findings professionally.
Installation
- Lead or assist with the installation of new heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems.
- Installers will have opportunities to cross-train in service and refrigeration.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety, and professionalism on every installation.
Customer Service
- Provide professional, courteous service to customers throughout the Research Triangle area.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding equipment issues, repairs, and recommended solutions.
- Represent CSR professionally while working at customer locations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-5 years of HVAC/R service or installation experience.
- Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles and HVAC systems.
- Experience with electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Ability and willingness to learn new equipment and systems, including scientific laboratory and commercial kitchen applications.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and willing to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Professional attitude and strong customer-service skills.
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Work Location & Travel
This is an on-the-road position based out of southern Durham, NC, near Highway 147 and I-40. Employees are expected to reliably commute to the Durham location during the work week and travel to customer sites throughout Durham, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Research Triangle Park, and surrounding areas.
