Leading architectural and engineering firm is adding a Healthcare Architect/Project Manager to their Boston team!
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Principal to evaluate project requirements and help negotiate acceptable owner-architect agreement (including fee/time schedule)
- Complete projects on schedule and within budget
- Exceed client expectations
- Use healthcare terminology to maximize performance when designing healthcare projects
- Understand/manage design with regards to infection control maintenance, building systems, security, technology and medical equipment specific to a healthcare setting
- Monitor quality of construction documents
- Develop discipline cost and work-hour budgets
- Monitor project costs and completion status against budget schedules/timelines
- Coordinate review/evaluation of contractor bids
- Provide daily leadership in absence or as delegated by the Principal
- Assist with marketing (developing proposals/client interviews)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or related field
- Licensed professional preferred
- 8+ years of project management experience honed on increasingly more complex projects
- Demonstrated skill in working on multiple smaller-sized to mid-sized, challenging projects simultaneously
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients and lead discussions on project budgets and management of project delivery
- Proficient with industry accepted software and Microsoft Office products
- Experience with Project Management software (Vision, Microsoft Project) preferred
