Safety Auditor

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

Examines, verifies, analyzes, and evaluates organizational, maintenance and operations safety procedures and policies to ensure that they are necessary, sufficient, and in compliance with any applicable regulations, laws, or ordinances. Will be responsible for producing accurate data documents for project management.

Essential Functions

· Auditing inbound raw material pallets for compliance reasons to ensure quality meets a particular standard.

· Ensures that the quantity, and quality heights of pallets used for materials do not go beyond a specific height.

· Performs inspection of outgoing material finished good pallets meet the standard to identify, isolate, and track those pallets to be re-worked or to meet safety requirements.

· Verifies that all incoming purchased pallets meet compliance of an A Graded pallet for our internal use.

· Reports any audits done on GMP and PPE requirements.

· Does daily safety checks and walks to ensure safety of the facility is being kept at a standard. Including but not limited to: LOTO, Safeguarding, Weather Inspections, EAP Drills, Safety Communications and Boards, First-Aid, Fire Extinguishers, Fork Lift Traffic, Pedestrian Walkways etc;

Required Education and Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent,

· Basic reading and math skills

· Must be computer and tablet savvy

· Previous experience with excel, photoshop, or adobe products for visual management

· Must be able to follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately

· Able to lift to 40 lbs. safely as required

· Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills

Preferred Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.

One year of prior warehouse experience.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds daily. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
